Washington's Army

Washington's Army was led by non other than George Washington. After April 19, 1775, the day the battle of Lexington and Concord occurred, George Washington was assigned to be commander in chief of the Continental Army. The army had a blue uniform, but during the early battles of the War, they wore their everyday wear. The army had defeated the British in Boston in 1776, but lost the battle in New York and almost got George Washington captured. In 1777, the army had captured two major British forces at Saragota and in 1781bat Yorktown. Around December, they crossed the Delaware River and won victory over the British in two battles. Although the Continental Army won the War, they had been defeated in a great number of battles. At the Surrender of Yorktown, Washington's men and their allies the French army, they went south to face the British and successfully made the British Thereat Chesapeake Bay in October 1781.There also was a man named Henry Knox and wherever he went he had a smile and he was a bookseller too, he also had a jolly laugh.There was also another General named Daniel Morgan, who was a leader in Virgina, and the leader of the Sharpshooter.Danial Morgan was a really tall man but he was very good in the battles. Daniel Morgan also joined the Washington army and cared all about liberates throughout the whole war. But then Washington earned the right to destroy every ship in the harbor but he didn't do that.
